Almost Finished!

So I've handed in all assessments for todays class.

Which is fantastic, as it relieves a lot stress from trying to hand assignments in. Only one more day till this term is completed, then onto a fresh start next term. Maybe i might learn something new this time!

Hope everyone enjoys their Easter Holidays and eat lots of chocolate!

KPI's

What are KPI's?

KPI’s are tools that can be used by a business or organisation to define, measure, monitor and track their performance over time so they can achieve their goals listed.

Today we considered how KPI’s are related to us as a student. We made a list to as what we thought needed to be done so we could be competent for the assignment to be handed in. E.g. does it contain the right footer? Is a reference page included? Have organisational standards been followed? I made a good reasonable list, but could still add a few things to it, at least my format for the table look good!

KPI’s and KPA’s are still a little bit confusing for me, but at least I know the basics about them.

At this time, I actually can’t wait for the holidays, even though I’ll be flat out with work, at least I won’t have to think about all these different assignments!

.:. Not long to go .:.

Only a few more weeks to go till the holidays. Now all the assessments are getting close to being due in. Hopefully by tonight I'll have most of the Tasks in Communicate Electronically emailed to the lecturer.

I've just finished my five year plan, which was pretty easy for me as I've always had a good idea of what I'm going to do in the next few years. After a year from Graduation there's still a lot of learning/studying I need to do, so most of my work plan consists of studying Dilplomas. Besides work the only other thing I'd like to do is get my Motorbike licence for when I go to live in the city and actually buy my Ninja!

.:. TIME TO ORGANISE .:.

Time Management; doing this just reminds me of how much time I don't really have to spare for things like  homework or going to meetings for work and any extra social activities. Maybe planning out things a little better will help me get those extra hours!

This will definately help for TAFE, as I'm always running a lil late in the mornings and never have enough time for homework!

I really need to consider that there is three different roadworks to go through when coming to tafe, which this really slow me downs and puts me behind schedule.

Creating a 5 year plan will be good, as this is the time I need to work out what I want to do with my life. It would be great to be organised and have everything sorted out, so im not rushing anything or forgetting anything important. I already have a good idea of what is going in my plan for the next three years. So that's a great start!

If anyone is in Denmark on every second Saturday, you should come down to Willoughby Park Winery and Boston Brewery to come see some amazing live music and enjoy some delicious food, wine or some freshly made beer!

Blog's are boring

So far doing this blog isn't something I enjoy, as I can never think of much to write about! Assessments are already started to be handed in, it's amazing how fast these weeks have gone by. Managed to complete our first assessment in MYOB! I'm finally starting to get the hang of the software used for it, which is good, as it's something I really need to learn, especially if I'm going to get my Advanced Diploma of Accounting.
Working as a group today helped to remind me what we covered in cert II last year, some information was a lot harder to remember, as it's been a long time since I studied.

Emails

Going over emails in class was similar to Certificate II in Business last year, it was basically just a revision of what what I've already learnt. I use the Email Etiquettes all the time, whether it is in class, home or at work. These tips are definately something you need to follow whilst writing an application/cover letter for a job. So far the only class I've actually learnt a lot in, is the MYOB class, but thats also similar to the financial services class last year aswell, just the data is being entered into a computer system instead of on paper and being stored away in a file.

Cert III Studies

So far the whole week of TAFE has been smooth, easy going and nothing has bothered me or been stuck with any tasks so far, it’s ended up being quite similar to the course, Certificate 2 in Business.

The only trouble with doing this course is that it interferes with my full-time job at the winery/brewery and also with working on my parent's farm. The travelling is a bit much but hopefully it’ll be worth it once I get my qualifications for a proper full time job up in the mines or in Perth.  Having a full-time job now doesn't leave me with much free time with any extra work after school time, for instance I didn't have the time to look for an interesting blog to show the class today, which I only had a few minutes to find one this morning, http://www.girlsrideout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=599, it ended up being about the Kawasaki Ninja 250R, which will be my first road bike I'm going to buy, so i can get to tafe and back without using my car so much.
